A prayer for peace was conducted on 1st August at St. Joseph’s English Medium School, Sankarakhol, sending a remarkable display of unity. The peace assembly was held in solidarity with the people of Manipur, who have been enduring a prolonged period of violence, and aimed to pray for an immediate end to the unrest and the restoration of peace in the region.
The primary objective of this peace assembly was conducted to raise awareness among students about the grave situation in Manipur and the urgent need to halt the violence and senseless attacks on precious lives and property, including places of worship.
During the prayer assembly, students were enlightened about ongoing situation in the state of Manipur and the significance of working towards peace, reconciliation, and fraternity. The students also expressed their support for peace through the use of placards, which emphasized the importance of harmony and unity. They lit candles and prayed for the reinstatement of peace in the state of Manipur and in our country.
The Peace Assembly showcased the power of unity and compassion. It also conveyed a strong message of solidarity and support to the suffering people of Manipur, with the hope that their voices would be heard, and peace would be restored. It has encouraged interfaith cooperation, fostered a sense of empathy, understanding, and shared responsibility among the young generation.
