St. Joseph’s English Medium School, Sankarakhol  celebrated Children’s day on the 14th November, 2022, with great festive fervour, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The programme began with a special assembly conducted by the teachers, followed by lighting of lamp and speeches by the Principal about the great leader, thinker, visionary and a true statesman – Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The first Prime Minister of independent India was extremely fond of children and the programme clearly depicted the spirit of the occasion with teachers holding the stage and putting up a mesmerising cultural show for the children. The cultural programme had a series of interesting and exciting events, all planned meticulously for complete entertainment. Teachers enthralled the audience with their energetic and graceful moves with their traditional dances. Students were pulsated with excitement when their teachers presented a Rajasthani dance bringing together their poetry of footsteps and a cosmic folk tune. The celebratory mood continued with invigorating dances. Subsequently, a song was presented by a group of teachers in praise of children and wishing them Happy Children’s Day. Students were elated to see their teachers performing and celebrating the day with zeal and enthusiasm. The Principal Sr. Liby George in her address encouraged students to dream big and work hard. She also appreciated the teachers for their lively performance. She greeted the children warmly on the special day. She compared the children to beautiful blossoms and motivated them to spread their fragrance everywhere. Various games were conducted for the students and the winners were given prizes by the Manager Sr. Marina and Sr. Asha Kiran.  Children’s Day was marked with grand splendour and fiesta as the school campus buzzed with excitement and joy as it was a day wherein fun and frolic dominated. The children came dressed in casual dresses and relished sweets with classmates. Various activities were organised for the children of all classes and prizes were given. It was a day full of joy and laughter for the students.
