St Joseph's Sankarakhol

Sr. Leena Jacob the Provincial Superior of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Annecy, Bhubaneswar Province, visited our school on 28th November 2021 at 9.30 am.  

The staff and the students welcomed her with flowers during the online assembly, followed by a short gathering in the school. The Principal, Manager, Managing committee members, few students and parents were present on the occasion.  The Principal welcomed her and introduced her to all gathered. The students also performed dances, spoke on ‘my school’ and sang welcome songs to mark the event.

Sr. Leena in her address, appreciated and complimented the efforts of the principal, staff and students for what St. Joseph’s English Medium is today and for maintaining good standards not only in academics, but also in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Through a short story, she made the students to understand the need to live a life that is good, upright and of service to others, specially the poor and the needy. She urged the students and teachers to keep to the school motto “‘Prosperity through education and care’ and always to strive for excellence in all we do.

After meeting the students, a staff get-together was arranged where she thanked the staff for collaborating wholeheartedly with the management in imparting good, value based education to the students and motivated them to be more committed and dedicated in their duties and responsibilities. She appreciated the teachers’ creative approach to the students and to their families during the pandemic and for their availability to impart education in spite of the challenges caused due to the Covid 19.
