The Investiture Ceremony was held on 9th August 2023 at St. Joseph’s English Medium School, Sankarakhol to encourage and kindle leadership qualities in our young prodigies.
The Student Council for the session 2023-24 was formed. Students were chosen for the Posts like School Captain, Vice captain, House Leaders, Assistant House Leaders and Class Prefects.
The Investiture Ceremony 2022-23 successfully inducted the newly elected and selected members of the school’s prefectorial board on 9th August 2023. The ceremony started by lighting the lamp and morning prayer which signifies the removal of darkness and continuous upward movement of the flame denotes a path of wisdom and divinity.
Newly formed Council – School captain, Vice Captain, House Leaders, Assistant House Leaders and Prefects marched to the stage with great dedication and commitment. They were honoured by the principal, Sr. Liby George along with the Chief Guest, Fr. Susanth kanhar , Parish Priest of St. Thomas Church, and manager Sr. Marina. Sr. Lilly Baliar Singh announced the names of the appointees who would take into their hands the reigns of responsibility. Principal administered the oath of allegiance to the newly appointed Board of Students’ Council, who swore to serve their Alma Mater with utmost sincerity and to the best of their abilities. Fr. Susant Kanhar and Sr. Marina vested them with sashes.
The chief guest and the Principal motivated the students and blessed them with their golden views which would help the students to make their vision clear for the achievement of their goal by performing their duties with full dedication. They then congratulated the newly elected Students’ Council and emphasized the significance of setting priorities and the need of the hour to be a team player. Principal reminded them that they are the torch bearers of all the values that the School stands for and urged them to take responsibility with commitment and integrity. The proud parents’ happiness knew no bounds when badges and sashes were conferred on the newly elected Students’ Council.
The zeal of the council was reflected in their confidence and dedication to execute their work. The ceremony concluded with a promising vote of thanks by the newly elected school captain. The school without doubt believes in its young leaders to protect and consolidate the values and ideals its teachers and students stand for. They expressed their gratitude to their revered Principal, Sr. Liby George for her sheer perseverance to help students comprehend the rich legacy of our nation and for her constant encouragement to attain excellence in all arenas of education.
