The much-awaited Annual Day Celebration, “Talent Fiesta,’’ took place on 29th November 2024. The event was a great success, showcasing students’ talents and celebrating the school’s achievements.
The event commenced with a Warm welcome song presented by the students, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp symbolizing the beginning of the celebration. Our Chief Guest for the day, Sri Hruda Ranjan Sahoo, O.A.S, graced the occasion while Sr. Leena Jacob, our esteemed Provincial, Chaired the event as the President. We were also honoured to have several distinguished guests as the Guests of Honour Fr. Richard Vaz SVD Manager, St.Arnold School Bhubaneswar, Fr. Sushanth Kanhar Parish priest, St. Thomas Church Sankarakhol, Mrs. Bainetri Kanhar Chairman, Chakapad Block, Mrs. Janaki Pradhan Sarpanch, Sankarakhol, Sr. Vani the Manager.
The principal read the Annual Report, reflecting on the school’s achievements and growth over the past 10 years.
The Guests were then introduced to the audience, and they took moments to address the parents and children, sharing their insights and encouragement. Their words inspired all present, emphasizing the importance of education, discipline and holistic development.
The ceremony continued with the prize distribution for academic excellence, where students who had excelled in their studies were recognized for their hard work and dedication. The academic achievers were applauded for their outstanding performance throughout the year.
Following the prize distribution, the guests were felicitated with uttariyam and mementoes by the principal and the school manager. This gesture honoured the dignitaries and expressed gratitude for their support and contribution to the school community.
The formal stage program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by one of the students. This moment allowed the students to express gratitude to all the dignitaries, guests, teachers, non-teaching staff, parents, and all those who helped in one way or another for the success of this annual day celebration.
Once the stage program was completed, the cultural extravaganza began. The students started the event with a graceful prayer dance, invoking blessings for the day’s success. Following this, the students from the play school, LKG, UKG, and higher grades took the stage to present a series of performances with different theme dances and skits that showcased their creativity, confidence, and hard work. Each performance was met with applause and admiration from the audience.
The celebration ended with the singing of the National Anthem, marking the end of a grand and successful Annual Day. The event reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing the talents of its students and fostering a strong sense of community and pride.
In conclusion, the Talent Fiesta was a resounding success, filled with joy, enthusiasm, and celebration of talent.
