St. Joseph’s English Medium School enthusiastically celebrated International Women’s Day. The purpose of celebrating Women’s Day was to raise awareness about the status and dignity of women among the students. The school’s male teachers took the lead in putting up the programme. Students gave speeches and quotes on women and acknowledged the vitality of their presence, which adds beauty to every home and society. The children honoured fifteen women working on St. Joseph’s School campus as administrative, teaching, and support staff. Then some exciting events were designed to make the women realize the hidden treasures in women. Gifts were hidden for the women on campus. They were given a clue, and each had to hunt for their gifts. It was very interesting as well as inspiring. After that, fun games spread lots of joy and laughter. Prizes were given to the winners of the games.
Principal Sr. Liby George addressed the gathering and appreciated the valuable contribution of women worldwide and the indomitable power each woman possesses. She also appreciated the men for the protection and care they give to every woman, which greatly matters. She concluded her message by encouraging everyone to maintain peace and make the world beautiful. Sr. Lilly Baliarsingh proposed the vote of thanks.
