Independence Day Celebration 2024
The 78th Independence Day of our motherland, India, was celebrated with splendour and enthusiasm at St. Joseph English Medium School, Sankarakhol. The Whole school campus was decorated beautifully with flags, plant pots, and paintings. All the students, teachers, parents and non-teaching staff were present by 7.15 am in their presence, our honourable chief guest Smt. Ananya Mahakul, in charge Revenue Inspector of Sankarakhol, hoisted the national flag. Then, all sang the national anthem in chorus. Students from class IV to VIII marched in their school uniform, saluting the National flag with great Patriotism. A short cultural programme was organized by the School. Students spoke fluently in English, Hindi, and Odia on Independence Day.
The students presented patriotic songs and dances. The outstanding students were awarded for their performance in the Gowbell Olympiads examination 2023. Fr. Susanth Kanhar (the parish priest of St. Thomas church) was the guest of honour, and Principal Sr. Alice John were on the stage. Chief Guest Ananya Mahakul gave her a valuable message on this great occasion. She spoke about the significance of the Independence Day. The guests of the dais were felicitated with flower bouquets and mementoes. The event came to an end by 8.15 am. After the program, sweets were distributed to the students, parents and staff.
