Independence Day Celebration 2026
The school celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day on 15 August 2026 with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The programme began at 7:40 a.m. with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Dr Sunali Behera, Veterinary Surgeon, Sankarakhol, accompanied by students. Guests of Honour, Fr Susanta Kanhar and Fr Kulakanta of St Thomas Church, Sankarakhol, and the Manager, Vani, also graced the occasion.
The guests were warmly welcomed with bouquets, followed by the flag-hoisting ceremony. The students then presented a vibrant cultural programme. Prizes were also distributed to the winners of various competitions, including debate, singing, essay writing, drawing and fancy dress.
In her inspiring address, the Chief Guest emphasised the importance of patriotism, discipline, education and responsible citizenship. The school programme concluded at around 9:00 a.m., after which the students participated in the Panchayat-level celebration. The school won first prize in the parade and also secured prizes in singing, debate and group dance.
The celebration was a memorable expression of patriotism, unity and pride in the nation, accompanied by gratitude for the freedom fighters and the values they upheld.
