An orientation session for all the teachers was conducted on 17 June 2025, facilitated by Rev. Fr. Madhan Singh. The session provided a meaningful platform for teachers to reflect on their role and responsibilities in teaching. During the session, we discussed the expectations placed on teachers by the management, students, and parents. Each group shared their views and presented key points creatively on chart paper. The discussion brought out important ideas that a teacher should be committed, responsible, approachable, and capable of maintaining discipline with empathy. It was highlighted that teaching should never be monotonous but innovative and engaging, making learning enjoyable and meaningful for students.
Fr. Madhan also shared insightful thoughts during the session. He emphasised that teachers should always strive to be creative in their teaching methods, explore new ideas, and think beyond the textbook. He underlined the importance of building positive and healthy relationships with students and parents, which play a vital role in the child’s holistic development. He also referred to the Right to Education (RTE) Act, reminding us of our duty to provide inclusive and quality education to every child.
Teachers’ responsibility was also beautifully brought into the discussion, reminding us that teaching is not just a profession but a life-giving mission. Teachers were encouraged to make their classrooms alive with joy, compassion, and purpose. The session was truly enriching and helped us reflect deeply on how we can become better educators and mentors in the lives of our students.
