Republic Day Celebration 2026
St Joseph English Medium School, Sankarakhol, celebrated the 77th Republic Day with pride and patriotic fervour on 26 Jan 2026. The occasion was graced by the Parish Priest of Sankarakhol as the Chief Guest and Fr. Kalakand as the Guest of Honour. They were accorded a warm welcome with flowers and badges.
The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. A disciplined march past by the students set a dignified tone for the programme. Students expressed their patriotic spirit through speeches in English, Odia, and Hindi, and through cultural performances including dance and song.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest highlighted the significance of Republic Day and encouraged students to grow into responsible and compassionate citizens. The programme concluded with a felicitation ceremony and a vote of thanks.
Later in the day, the school participated in the Republic Day celebrations organised by the Sankarakhol Panchayat. The students brought laurels to the institution by winning prizes in singing, dance, and debate competitions, and by securing first prize in the parade. The occasion was further marked by St Joseph English Medium School receiving the Best School Award from the Sankarakhol Panchayat, a moment of pride for the entire school community.
